This morning, enjoy a walking tour of Ho Chi Minh City’s famous and historic landmarks; visit the famous Rex Hotel for a drink. Next visit War Remnants Museum, followed by a visit to the vibrant and colourful oldest Ben Thanh Market. Enjoy a cooking class and sample your delicious creations. The afternoon is at your leisure. Enjoy a welcome dinner.

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels that was used by the Viet Cong as a hideout and secret village during the war. Melanie has a fun activity for the afternoon. Start your evening with a cocktail followed by dinner.

After breakfast, transfer to the port in Ho Chi Minh City to board your river cruise ship. The afternoon is at your leisure to acquaint yourself with the ship and relax. Perhaps, indulge in a spa treatment to refresh the mind, body and spirit. A welcome reception this evening.

Explore the village of Vinh Long as we board a sampan. Stop at a local workshop and see how rice paper, rice wine, and traditional candy are made. Perhaps you will find some handcrafted notebooks and stationery. In the afternoon, enjoy the picturesque of the daily life along the river. Visit the village of Cu Lao Gieng, and see how a family crafts sampans for a living. Then we travel by a specially designed motor cart to visit one of Vietnam’s oldest churches.

After breakfast, explore the colourful local market as the locals are busy buying and selling meat, fish, and produce. See traditional floating homes along the Mekong and witness the daily life of the locals. Visit the religious sites at the base Sam Mountain in Chau Doc. Sam Mountain is known as the place of pilgrimage for the Vietnamese where dozens of pagodas and temples are found. Later spend time for a well-preserved tradition of cotton-weaving.

Arrive in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. In the morning, sightseeing by private cyclo to visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum. Afternoon at leisure giving you the luxury of personal space or Melanie has a couple of interesting activities. Before dinner, enjoy a show by children from a local orphanage.

After breakfast, sightseeing provides a glimpse of the Khmer Rouge regime. Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and one of the Killing Fields. After lunch, depart Phnom Penh as leisure time is spent onboard the ship.

Visit Wat Hanchey, a temple dating back to the 8th century and the Chenla Empire. Located on a hilltop, enjoy magnificent view of the surrounding area and partake in a traditional water blessing by local monks. After lunch, walking tour through Angkor Ban village with school visit.

Visit the silversmith village of Konpong Louang. See talented artisians using age-old techniques to create beautiful silver art. Experience ox cart ride through the beautiful Cambodian countryside and visit a local farmer’s home in Kampong Tralach. After lunch, cruise to Tonle River to Tonle Sap (Great Lake) based on the water conditions. In the rainy season, there is around 100,000 square miles of water, the perfect breeding ground for fish.

In the morning, disembark and visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument on the planet. Later visit Banteay Srei, an unique temple. Witness a sunset at Angkor Wat before celebrating new friendships dinner.
